- 1 pound bowtie pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook Pasta: Boil the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain the excess fat. Add the onion and bell pepper, cooking until they are softened.
- Create the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, ranch dressing, honey, and smoked paprika. Pour this over the beef and vegetables in the skillet, mixing well. Cook for 5 more minutes to blend the flavors.
- Combine Ingredients: In the baking dish, mix the cooked pasta with the beef sauce mixture. Ensure the pasta is well coated.
- Add Toppings: Top with shredded cheddar cheese and then bread crumbs mixed with olive oil.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the topping is golden and crispy.
- Serve: Enjoy hot, possibly garnished with fresh herbs for added flavor.
