- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
Instructions
- Prepare Your Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: Sift together flour and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In another bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla extract.
- Combine with Dry Ingredients: Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined and a dough forms.
- Shape the Cookies: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Press down the center of each ball with your thumb to make an indentation.
- Add Strawberry Jam: Fill each indentation with a small amount of strawberry jam.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
