- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream the butter with the granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture, blending well.
- Fold in Cereal and Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the Rice Krispies and chocolate chips, taking care not to crush the cereal.
- Scoop and Bake: Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto the prepared sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are just turning golden.
- Cool and Enjoy: Allow the cookies to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
