  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups medium pasta shells, uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat and Brown: In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot with the beef. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Season: Stir in the paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for one minute to release the flavors.
  4. Simmer with Liquids: Pour in the beef broth and tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Cook Pasta: Add the pasta shells. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer until pasta is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Add Cream and Cheese: Stir in the heavy cream and remove from heat. Add the cheddar cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
