- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups medium pasta shells, uncooked
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Heat and Brown: In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot with the beef. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Season: Stir in the paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for one minute to release the flavors.
- Simmer with Liquids: Pour in the beef broth and tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer.
- Cook Pasta: Add the pasta shells. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer until pasta is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- Add Cream and Cheese: Stir in the heavy cream and remove from heat. Add the cheddar cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
