One-Pan Chicken with Creamy Buttered Noodles

Embrace the ease and elegance of this delightful one-pan meal!

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season and Sear Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Add chicken; cook until golden, about 3-4 minutes each side. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Deglaze and Simmer: Pour in chicken broth, stirring to lift any browned bits. Add heavy cream, Parmesan, and thyme. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Cook Chicken: Return chicken to the skillet, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until chicken is cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
  5. Prepare Noodles: Meanwhile, cook egg noodles as per package directions, drain, and toss with butter.
  6. Serve: Place chicken on buttered noodles, spoon sauce over the top, and garnish with parsley.
