- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season and Sear Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Add chicken; cook until golden, about 3-4 minutes each side. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Deglaze and Simmer: Pour in chicken broth, stirring to lift any browned bits. Add heavy cream, Parmesan, and thyme. Bring to a simmer.
- Cook Chicken: Return chicken to the skillet, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until chicken is cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
- Prepare Noodles: Meanwhile, cook egg noodles as per package directions, drain, and toss with butter.
- Serve: Place chicken on buttered noodles, spoon sauce over the top, and garnish with parsley.
