For the base:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter

For the chocolate topping:
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
Instructions
- Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Create the Base: Mix flour, coconut, brown sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan.
- Bake the Base: Cook the base for 15 minutes, then let it cool slightly.
- Make the Caramel: In a saucepan, combine condensed milk, golden syrup, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and caramel-colored, about 10-15 minutes. Pour over the base.
- Bake with Caramel: Return to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the caramel sets.
- Prepare the Chocolate Topping: Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil together, using a microwave or double boiler. Spread the melted chocolate over the set caramel.
- Chill and Set: Refrigerate until the chocolate is firm, about 2 hours. Cut into squares.
- Enjoy Your Dessert: Serve the slices once the chocolate is set, and enjoy the layered delight.
