Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Create the Base: Mix flour, coconut, brown sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan.
  3. Bake the Base: Cook the base for 15 minutes, then let it cool slightly.
  4. Make the Caramel: In a saucepan, combine condensed milk, golden syrup, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and caramel-colored, about 10-15 minutes. Pour over the base.
