- 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
- 2 pounds frozen pierogi (any flavor)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Layer the Base: In the crockpot, arrange a layer of half the kielbasa, pierogi, and onion. Top with one cup of cheddar cheese.
- Repeat Layers: Add the remaining kielbasa, pierogi, onion, and cheddar cheese.
- Combine the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the Sauce: Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the layers in the crockpot.
- Set to Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pierogi are tender and the flavors have blended beautifully.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving to enhance the flavor and presentation.
