Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy

Get ready to set and forget with this simple recipe that cooks itself while you go about your day!

  • Total Time: 24 minute
  • Yield: 6 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 packets of chicken gravy mix
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 and 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Set the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Prepare the Gravy: In a medium bowl, whisk together the chicken gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, water, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Combine and Cook: Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and set to cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  4. Shred and Serve: When the cooking time is up, shred the chicken right in the slow cooker using two forks. Stir well to mix the chicken with the gravy.
  5. Garnish and Enjoy: Serve the creamy gravy chicken hot, garnished with chopped parsley if using. It goes perfectly over a bed of mashed potatoes, rice, or alongside your favorite vegetables.
