Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper generously.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the ranch dressing mix, sour cream, and chicken broth. Stir well to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cook the Chicken: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the sauce is creamy.
- Add Cheese and Garnish: Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the chicken and allow it to melt into the sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
- Serve and Enjoy: This dish pairs beautifully with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a light salad.
