- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup provolone cheese, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it's ready for baking.
- Season the Chicken: Sprinkle salt and pepper generously on both sides of the chicken breasts.
- Prepare the Coating: In a bowl, mix the grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, and minced garlic.
- Coat the Chicken: Brush each chicken breast with melted butter, then evenly coat with the Parmesan mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.
- Sear for Crispiness: Heat olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
- Add Cheese: Place slices of provolone cheese on top of each chicken breast.
- Bake to Perfection: Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese has melted into a golden crust.
