Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and greasing your loaf pan.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, fully incorporating after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix Batter: Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Prepare Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture: In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Layer and Swirl: Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon-sugar. Swirl the mixture through the batter using a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan before slicing. This step helps the flavors meld together and makes the bread easier to cut.
