Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (8 oz) cans crescent roll dough
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar for topping
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Roll out one can of crescent roll dough to cover the bottom of the dish, sealing any seams.
- Mix the Filling: In a bowl, beat the cream cheese with 1 cup sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish.
- Add the Top Layer: Unroll the second can of dough and place it over the cream cheese filling, carefully sealing the seams to enclose the filling.
- Apply the Topping: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top dough layer. Mix 1/4 cup sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle it generously over the butter.
- Bake the Casserole: Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole has puffed up.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the casserole to cool slightly for easier slicing. Serve warm or chilled, depending on your preference.
