Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
- Prepare Your Baking Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- Brown the Butter: Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Continue cooking until it turns golden brown with a nutty aroma, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk the cooled brown butter and sugars until well combined. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add Dry to Wet: Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans.
- Bake the Cookie Bars: Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
