- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the ground beef, ricotta, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form Meatballs: Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Brown Meatballs: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the meatballs until golden and browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
- Simmer in Sauce: In a separate saucepan, warm the marinara sauce over medium heat. Add the browned meatballs to the sauce, and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Serve and Garnish: Serve the meatballs with some of the marinara sauce, sprinkled with extra Parmesan and a bit of chopped parsley.
