Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
- Cook Onions: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion until translucent. Set aside to cool.
- Mix Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream. Fold in the cooled onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble Quiche: Pour the egg mixture into the prepared pie crust, ensuring the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown.
- Cool and Garnish: Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Sprinkle with chopped chives for garnish.
